West Shore Health Center, a unit of Health Concepts, is a more than 100-bed nursing and rehabilitation center. It features formal dining rooms, family rooms for socializing or watching TV, courtyards, resident rooms and cafes. The center s activities director plans a variety of favorite activities each week, on and off the premises. Its staff comprises medical director, rehabilitation specialists, nursing staff, dieticians, social workers and activity personnel. The center houses a secure, state-certified dementia wing with a nursing and activities staff specially trained to care for patients afflicted with Alzheimer s disease and related dementia. It also offers respite care for caregivers who need temporary help, hospice care for the terminally ill, ongoing family support services and education.
