About Skydive Newport Skydive Newport opened during the summer of 1999 by Marc Tripari. Prior to operating Skydive Newport, Marc worked at and managed various skydiving centers around the country. With 20 years of experience in the sport, he has accumulated over 7500 jumps which include over 5000 Tandem jumps as an Instructor. We are the only skydiving center in Rhode Island, and we pride ourselves on having second to none client service. Our instructors treat you like a guest and not just like a "tandem number" as some other centers do. The airport is very user friendly ; spectators can be at the edge of the landing area to watch you land. Cameras and photos from your spectators are always welcome. It is the goal and prime focus at Skydive Newport to offer the general public a stellar location for tandem skydives. The environment at Skydive Newport exhibits a safe, low stress, friendly, and casual setting. Marc and his staff believe that you should make a tandem skydive in this relaxed atmosphere. While you're flying through the air, you will have an indescribable and unforgettable experience. Since your safety is our prime concern, Marc only hires the best instructors the industry has to offer: Marc provides a second to none product. The staff at Skydive Newport has many years of experience in taking the public on tandem skydives ; all instructors have thousands of jumps. We are a United States Parachute Association group member and pledge to follow all of USPA's rules and regulations. Many skydiving centers around the country are land locked ; that is, you are flying and looking over trees, power lines, parking lots, and highways. At Skydive Newport's location, however, you jump over one of the most beautiful areas in the country: in the bird's perspective, the scenery delivers itself in a uniquely pristine and outstanding panorama which New England possibly can provide! Specifically, you will be overlooking Newport's entire coastline including the beaches, rocky shores, Narragansett Bay, and the Mansions. Quite often you can even see the outline of Cape Cod or Long Island. Our reservation policies are very accommodating to our clients. We do not charge your credit card during the booking process, and we do not keep your money if you can't jump due to weather issues. We do understand that our clients have many adventures to accomplish during the short New England summers.
