The Prudence Conservancy, established in 1987, is dedicated to preserving the unique character and natural beauty of Prudence Island in Portsmouth, Town of, RI. With over 800 acres of protected land, the organization strives to ensure that current and future generations can enjoy the island's pristine environment.

Recently, the Prudence Conservancy has successfully secured an agreement to purchase the 103-acre Eugene Chase Farm, owned by the estate of Barbara Chase Little. Through collaboration with the Little family, RIDEM, NOAA, and other funders, this historic property will be preserved in perpetuity, honoring the legacy of those who worked the land and providing a sanctuary for generations to come.
