The Thomas F. Hoppin House, located at 383 Benefit Street in Providence, Rhode Island, is a historic Italianate palazzo-style residence designed by Alpheus C. Morse in 1853. Considered one of the largest and most elegant houses in mid-nineteenth century Providence, it was home to Thomas Frederick Hoppin, a painter, sculptor, and engraver from a prominent local family. Previously housing the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University, the mansion was sold in 2021 for $2 million with plans to undergo a luxury apartment building conversion. Known for its social gatherings and once featuring a bronze statue of a dog by Hoppin on the front lawn, the Thomas F.
