Friends of Pomham Rocks Lighthouse (FPRL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the Pomham Rocks Lighthouse, established in 1871 and recognized as an integral part of Rhode Island's maritime heritage. As a volunteer chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation, FPRL operates guided boat tours to provide public access while maintaining the site's historical integrity.

The organization recently received a grant of $5,000 from the Squantum Association Charitable Foundation to aid in the restoration of the lighthouse dock, which has suffered structural damage due to winter storm surges. Plans are underway to replace it with an historically accurate design adapted to rising sea levels, ensuring the lighthouse remains a lasting symbol of New England's coastline.

Maybe it's awesome but we never made it...the directions take you to a waste management site that you can't enter. Really disappointing since we went out of our way to stop their on our road trip.
