History

In 2005, Maura Cronin and Abbie Chambers joined forces to create Moon Tide Dyers. An simple yet elegant line of clothing using hand dyeing techniques for the modern woman.

Specialties

Moon Tide creates simple yet elegantly styled shibori patterned garments. A soft rayon jersey knit is the main fabric used. Using various shibori techniques to pattern our garments and fabrics, we then dye with fiber reactive or direct dyes. Dance and movement inform our work and that is reflected in the pattern placement on the body. Our design choices are simple and classic resulting in an artful garment that is very wearable. Color and pattern vary making each garment completely unique.
