Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates is a nonprofit multispecialty medical group practice, headquartered in Boston and with more than 10 locations in and around Greater Boston. Established in 1997, it is also a major teaching affiliate of the Harvard Medical School and many of its physicians are involved in teaching the Harvard Medical School students and residents. It employs a team approach to health care and offers a wide array of physicians and other health care professionals. The patient s primary care physician works with a team of nurse practitioners, physician assistants and others, to handle regular checkups, coordinate specialty care and look after overall health.
