The Hamilton Hoppin House Neport, also known as Villa 120 is a stylishly restored 9-bedroom bed and breakfast estate located just minutes away from downtown Newport. The estate was originally designed by the noted 19th-century architect Richard Upjohn and one of the first Italianate stick-style houses built in the United States. This mid-19th century architectural style encompassed a preference for asymmetry, variety, and natural landscaping. Built in 1856 as a summer residence for Hamilton Hoppin of New York, a businessman, and scion of a prominent Rhode Island family, It was converted to an Inn in 1984. In 1996, The Hamilton Hoppin House was registered and placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Our versatile Inn can also host a variety of indoor and outdoor events such as weddings, private chef dinners, wedding rehearsal dinners, wedding showers and much more.
