The Hamilton Hoppin House Neport, also known as Villa 120 is a stylishly restored 9-bedroom bed and breakfast estate located just minutes away from downtown Newport. The estate was originally designed by the noted 19th-century architect Richard Upjohn and one of the first Italianate stick-style houses built in the United States. This mid-19th century architectural style encompassed a preference for asymmetry, variety, and natural landscaping. Built in 1856 as a summer residence for Hamilton Hoppin of New York, a businessman, and scion of a prominent Rhode Island family, It was converted to an Inn in 1984. In 1996, The Hamilton Hoppin House was registered and placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
