Brown Emergency Medicine is the academic physician practice plan of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, in collaboration with major hospitals including Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, Hasbro Children's Hospital, and Newport Hospital. Their mission is to deliver outstanding patient care, exceptional medical education, and groundbreaking research to enhance the health of Rhode Island and its neighboring communities.

Additionally, Brown Physicians Incorporated, a community-based, not-for-profit multi-specialty practice group, is led by faculty affiliated with The Warren Alpert Medical School. This organization comprises six foundations, including Brown Dermatology, Brown Emergency Medicine, Brown Medicine, Brown Urology, The Neurology Foundation, and University Surgical Associates.
