Bristol Ferry Lighthouse, established in 1846 and first lit in 1855, is a historic structure located under the northern side of the Mt. Hope Bridge in Bristol, Rhode Island. Originally commissioned to illuminate the narrow passage between Mt. Hope Bay and Narragansett Bay, the lighthouse features a square shape with a faux lantern and stands 34 feet tall.
Deactivated in 1927, the lighthouse has remained in private hands since its sale in 1928, following the discontinuation of ferry service due to the construction of the Mt. Hope Bridge. The property, which most recently changed ownership in 2000, showcases architectural elements of the Federal Revival style and is constructed of brick.
