Bright Ideas, founded in 1991, offers a full-day kindergarten, and before and after school care services. The school has full- and half-day programs for preschool and prekindergarten, as well as two large playgrounds, an indoor gym, computers, art, literature, and music classes. It also offers special programs, including field and sprinkler days, children's performers, weekly cooking projects, science experiments, popcorn days, and hotdog and pizza days. Bright Ideas preschool is nationally accredited by the National Academy for Early Childhood Programs. It is licensed by the Department of Children, Youth and Family, and the Department of Education. The preschool is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, Aquidneck Collaborative for Education, and the American Speech and Hearing Association.
