The Ashford Transfer Station, located at 232 Upton Road in Ashford, Connecticut, is a waste disposal and recycling facility owned and operated by the Town of Ashford. It provides services to Ashford residents for the proper disposal of trash and encourages composting at home. Stickers are required for use of the Transfer Station and can be obtained at the Selectmen's Office with proof of residency. The Transfer Station operates on Saturdays from 8AM until 4PM, Sundays from 10AM until 4PM, and Wednesdays from 2PM until 8PM. It is closed on certain dates, such as Easter Sunday. Hazardous waste is not accepted at the Transfer Station, but can be brought to the Mid-Neroc Chemical Waste Drop-off Facility in Willington.
