Allen's Seed has made great strides in the Turf Industry since it was founded in 1953. Charles H. Allen, Jr. opened the store after 31 years of service at the University of RI's Turf Research Station. During his 45 years of ownership Allen, Jr. discovered "PMAS", the world's first selective crabgrass killer. Allen, Jr. was also a large contributor to the development of several varieties of grasses. In August of 1999, Charles Allen, Jr. passed and the business was succeeded by his three sons, Charles III "Babe", Greggory, and Howard "Guppy". It was during this time that Erik Hagenstein was promoted to General Manager. He held this position for nearly eight years before purchasing the business as sole owner in 2006.

COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT! Do yourself a huge favor and don't take anything to Allen's Seed to be repaired/serviced, etc. They've had my generator for 7 months...SEVEN MONTHS, and I haven't...
