Quogue Wildlife Refuge
Quogue Wildlife Refuge is a 305-acre non-profit nature preserve located in Quogue, NY. Founded in 1934, the refuge is home to a diverse range of wildlife and offers visitors the opportunity to explore seven miles of trails that traverse various habitats, including forests, ponds, and the ecologically rare Dwarf Pines in the Pine Barrens.
The refuge also features the Outdoor Wildlife Complex, which houses permanently injured wildlife that require human care to survive, such as owls, falcons, and native New York animals. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the Charles Banks Belt Nature Center, which offers stunning views of Old Ice Pond, wildlife exhibits, live animals, a nature library, and a gift shop.
