Zambelli Fireworks International

Antonio Zambelli ventured from Italy in 1893 to establish the Zambelli Fireworks Manufacturing Company in New Castle, Pa., which was to become a center for America's fireworks industry. The company eventually changed its name to Zambelli Fireworks Internationale. Subsequent generations of the family are known worldwide for setting some of the industry standards in the design and technology of fireworks. The company s Nashua Harbor plant is located on a 400-acre hillside secluded outside of New Castle. It has more than 60 blockhouses for manufacturing and storing fireworks. Another plant specializes in manufacturing aerial shell components that are then transported to the Nashua Harbor plant for completion. It has warehouses strategically located throughout the nation. The company has been cited in the Guinness Book of World Records for launching fireworks at one of the highest altitudes, off of Pittsburgh's U.S. Steel Building. Zambelli Fireworks Internationale maintains a location in Edinburg, Pa.
