Established in 1970, Westmoreland County Community College has an enrollment of more than 6,400 full- and part-time students. The college offers several diplomas, certificates and associate degree programs. Its over 80-acre campus features a cafeteria, gymnasium, fitness center, indoor running track, science laboratories and student lounges. Westmoreland County Community College has nearly 75 full-time and approximately 350 part-time faculty members. The college prepares students for careers in a variety of fields, including accounting, business, criminal justice, medical assisting and office technology. It operates the New Kensington Education Center. In addition, Westmoreland County Community College has a bookstore that stocks stationery, clothing and gift items.
