Venango Training & Development Center, established in 1973, provides a wide range of rehabilitative and day programs in coordination with the mental health and mental retardation administrations in Venango, Forest, Clarion, Crawford, Clearfield and Jefferson counties in Pennsylvania. The center also contracts with the North Central Work Force Investment Youth Council for its services. It employs more than 100 regular staff and over 280 trainees. The center utilizes the person-centered approach in all its programs and develops a plan for each trainee who receives training in its sheltered workshops or life skills habilitation programs.
