We do not buy picked through, leftover vehicles at auctions like all other dealers do. We hand pick our inventory from new car trade-ins locally. Our mechanics inspect everything before we buy it, and if there is any sign of problems, we don't buy it. We are well known in the area and we enjoy a large following of repeat customers. US1 Auto Sales was started way back in 1979 by Roger Cobert, Sr. on Route 1 in Langhorne, Pennsylvania on a rented location with just north of Reedman Auto World. Due to Roger's philosophy of handling a better car for the money, along with a wide variety of different vehicles, business was good and the business began to grow. While most auto dealerships on Route 1 catered to customers coming down from New York, US 1 Auto Sales was focused on a local clientele instead and continued to handle only vehicles of the highest quality and condition. In 1993, 14 years after opening the business, the original location was just too small, and US1 Auto Sales moved 1 mile north on Route 1 to Fairless Hills to a much larger facility and business continued to thrive. In 2003, US1 Auto Sales moved one more time, to it's present location. The previous location was fine but was a rented location and considering the high cost of everything today, including rent on a large facility, Roger felt that paying rent on the location was unnecessarily adding to the cost of the vehicles being offered for sale. So, now US1 Auto Sales is located on business Route 1 at 231 East Lincoln Highway in Penndel, PA, just 1/2 mile south of the McDonald's at Route 95 and business Route 1. This present location is owned versus rented, allowing US1 Auto Sales to keep their vehicle prices below most every other dealer in business today. Per Roger, nowadays, as well as buying highest quality vehicles and only those vehicles in top condition, low overhead is a major key to running a successful used auto dealership.
