HistoryOriginally founded as the Children's Festival Chorus, our name was changed in 2015 to Pittsburgh Youth Chorus to more accurately reflect our organization and those we serve.SpecialtiesThrough professional-level choral education and performance, Pittsburgh Youth Chorus provides opportunities for a diverse group of children to realize their innate artistic potential and share experiences that enrich their lives while benefiting their families and communities.

Founded in 1975, Youth Advocate Programs is one of the largest nonprofit youth and family support agencies that works with high-risk youths and their families in the United States. The agency employs a staff of more than 2,200 personnel and focuses on child welfare, juvenile justice and behavioral health issues. It serves children with autism and provides independent living and life skills programs. Youth Advocate Programs offers medical assistance funded mobile therapy and school-based programs. In addition, the agency provides advocacy and homebuilders programs and services for dependent youths and their families. Youth Advocate Programs maintains a location in Pittsburgh.
