Tunkhannock Middle School

Tunkhannock Area Middle School is a public school offering educational instruction to students in grades five through eight. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students and is a part of the Tunkhannock Area School District. It offers an experienced skilled staff, music opportunities, instructional programs, special programs and a guidance department. It provides educational programs in family and consumer education, art, technology education, music, health and physical education, Title 1 reading and computers. It also offers gifted program to meet the education needs for those students who qualify as determined by the director of pupil personnel. The school offers advisor-advisee program to help students identified as having a difficult time with adolescent issues. It has athletic teams in cross country, football, wrestling, basketball, track and field, field hockey, softball, skiing, soccer and baseball.
