Christ Lutheran Church we are Lutheran, one of 278 congregations of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod, part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). A wide variety of people of many ages, cultures, and lifestyles. Involved in the life of our community, particularly Central-west Allentown, McKinley Elementary School, and the arts and culture of our unique neighborhood. Making a positive difference in the lives and futures of children and families through our emphasis on literacy and music. Blended with St. Stephen Lutheran Church as of May 2012 to form St. Stephen Outreach Center, a ministry of Christ Lutheran Church to better serve our community. Proud to have 19 rostered leaders (pastors, associates in ministry, diaconal ministers, and deaconesses) as members of our congregation, some retired, some actively employed, all playing a unique role in our ministry. Members of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce of Lutherans believe that God's love is unconditionally guaranteed, a promise for life! The Bible is God's word for us, our guide for living in the world today. We are all both saints and sinners, imperfect, but forgiven. The gospel is unchanging, God's word revealed in Jesus Christ. The church is ever reforming and responding to a changing world. We are called to minister in our daily lives, at work, at home, at play.
