The Norwin School District offers a variety of educational and extracurricular programs for students in kindergarten through grade 12. It offers classes in various subjects, such as English, language arts, mathematics, social studies, technology and business education, communications, and family and consumer science, as well as German, Spanish and French. The Norwin School District operates elementary, middle and high schools. It also administers art, music, and physical and special education programs. In addition, the school district offers the English as a Second Language (ESL) program. Established in 1929, Wheeling Country Day School is a non-profit, independent school educating children in class preschool through fifth grade. The school offers a curriculum that is focused on areas, such as speaking, writing and critical thinking skills. In addition to the traditional subject areas, the educational institution provides a range of extra-curricular activities, including fine arts, physical education, foreign language and technology classes. Wheeling Country Day School is fully accredited by the Independent School Association of the Central States (ISACS) and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
