Pretty lame tourist trap of little buildings with little shops inside on the Main Street in Tionesta. I looked around and really saw nothing that interested me. It has a nice playground for...

In the Spring of 2003, fire destroyed a more than century-old block, and two thriving businesses. The three buildings - which date as far back as 1870 - made up one of the town's main retail blocks. The Market Village occupies the lot destroyed by that fire some ten years ago that has been waiting for re-development. As with many small towns, Tionesta has been overlooked by developers as too small. Thanks to the vision and dedication of a few individuals, the leadership of the Forest County Industrial Development Corporation and the support of the community, the Tionesta Market Village took shape. Today the Market Village boasts 11 storefronts, and has become a destination for both tourists and residents alike.
The Tionesta Market Village is a unique artisan shopping experience located on the edge on the Allegheny National Forest, right in the heart of downtown Tionesta, Pennsylvania. Here you'll discover an amazing plaza of quaint little shops with turn of the century storefronts that echo the local historic architecture of the late 1800s. Inside the Market Village you'll find locally produced wine, maple syrup and baked goods, minerals and jewelry, home decor, wood crafts, stained glass, soaps, pottery, hand-sewn linens, jams and pickles, knitted goods, fresh produce and more! Enjoy free live entertainment, wine tastings and other special events including artisan craft demonstrations and hands-on children's events. Picnic tables, a playground and free WIFI are available. The Tionesta Market Village is open on weekends from May-October, with some special events scheduled for the off-season.
