The property was formerly the headquarters for The Eisenhower Fellowships organization. Over 60 years ago Dwight D himself requested a Philly location for the newly founded organization bearing his name and 256 S 16th St was selected. Today we remember their time at this address with our name, The DWIGHT D. The DD offers luxury accommodations in an historic 1850s brownstone which was completely remodeled in 2014 and underwent a second round of renovation in 2020.
