Stuart Fisk is a certified registered adult nurse practitioner specializing in HIV and primary care. He is Director of Strategy at AHN Center for Inclusion Health, and principal investigator for the Ryan White Grant, Positive Health Clinic. Along with his clinical and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Altman has maintained an active interest in research, which has resulted in over 40 publications in professional journals, including The Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma and The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. He has authored multiple book chapters and presented at numerous national and international meetings. Currently, his basic science research focuses on orthopaedic biofilms and their effect on bone healing. His clinical research is focused on improving outcomes after spinal and major orthopaedic injuries. Dr. Altman is a member of numerous medical societies and committees. These include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the North American Spine Society, and the Pan American Trauma Society. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
