Stony Mountain Fire Tower, located in Dauphin, PA, is a historic site that has been protecting the wilderness of Stony Valley for decades. Originally built by the Philadelphia Reading Coal Iron Company, the fire tower is the tallest structure in State Game Lands No. 211 and offers a vantage point that includes views of Dehart Dam, which provides drinking water for the City of Harrisburg.

The fire tower, situated along the Appalachian Trail, was dismantled in the 1970s and a new one was constructed further down the mountain. While climbing the fire tower is not advisable, visitors can reach it by following a series of roads and trails, including the blue-blazed Water Tank Trail. Stony Mountain Fire Tower is a significant part of the area's history and a testament to the ongoing efforts to protect and preserve the natural beauty of Stony Valley.
