History

The Shawnee General Store was founded in 1859 and has been a local staple for over 150 years. It's gone through some changes through the years, but we try to maintain its quaint country charm!

Specialties

We are a family-owned deli and general store. Come in to try one of our great sandwiches and check out the local gifts, crafts, and homemade products that we stock in our store. Our sandwiches and salads are a mix of old favorites and some new recipes of our own creation, with names taken from the history of Shawnee and the Pocono Mountains! We also sell fishing licenses (though don't hold us accountable on the price, we are victims to the great state of Pennsylvania's set price on fishing licenses as much as you are), and if you are visiting from out of town, we are happy to give you any information about the area. Thanks for giving us a try! P.S. The deli closes one hour before the rest of the store.
