Shahin Ayazi, MD

Warren Swegal, MD, treats patients with head and neck cancer, salivary gland disease, thyroid disease, and head and neck tumors. He maintains a clinical interest in these conditions, as well as xerostomia research. He is experienced in transoral robotic surgery and sialoendoscopy. He received the Wayne State School of Medicine Excellence in Teaching Award for 2018 and was the Henry Ford Hospital Outstanding Resident Award Nominee that same year. He's also the Head and Neck Cancer Disease Site Chair.

Dr. Daniel Altman is a nationally recognized expert in the field of orthopaedic spine and trauma surgery. He specializes in cervical disc surgery and disc replacement, lumbar disc surgery and spinal stenosis, spinal trauma, metastatic tumors of the spine, and minimally invasive spine surgery. Additionally, Dr. Altman also specializes in the treatment of complex extremity and pelvic fractures. Dr. Altman received his undergraduate degree from Allegheny College, and graduated from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh in Spinal Surgery, after which he served as a Clinical Fellow and Instructor in Orthopaedic Trauma at Harvard Medical School/The Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Currently, Dr. Altman is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine. He has served as the Director of Orthopaedic Spine Trauma at Allegheny General Hospital since 2004. He is passionate about education and directs the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at AHN. Along with his clinical and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Altman has maintained an active interest in research, which has resulted in over 40 publications in professional journals, including The Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma and The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. He has authored multiple book chapters and presented at numerous national and international meetings. Currently, his basic science research focuses on orthopaedic biofilms and their effect on bone healing. His clinical research is focused on improving outcomes after spinal and major orthopaedic injuries. Dr. Altman is a member of numerous medical societies and committees. These include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the North American Spine Society, and the Pan American Trauma Society. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Christina DiMaria, DO Christina DiMaria, DO, is a gastroenterologist specializing in diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system, including the stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and esophagus. She also manages conditions such as acid reflux, ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver disease. Dr. DiMaria attended medical school at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. She completed her internal medicine residency at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a gastroenterology fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. DiMaria is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Gastroenterology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. She welcomes patients ages 18 and older.
