Pete Plamondon, Sr. believed so strongly in the original Roy Rogers brand that he left Marriott to become a Roy Rogers franchisee, eventually purchasing the chain himself. Should I have high expectations of the food on the PA Turnpike, no not really. But even with that, my $12++ SUPER DRY roast beef sandwich and 1/2 filler cup of Mac and cheese soup was horrible....
