Romanian Folk Art Museum
The Romanian Folk Art Museum, established in 1983 in Chicago, is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Romanian folk culture. With the largest European folkloric village artifacts collection in the U.S., the museum showcases a wide range of costumes, textiles, rugs, pottery, painted furniture, and painted eggs, offering visitors a glimpse into the rich traditions and culture of Romania.
Over the past 33 years, the museum has organized more than 120 exhibits across 10 states, serving as a cultural and economic bridge between Romania and the United States. In collaboration with the Romanian-American League, the museum has also focused on promoting Romanian artisans and developing cultural, educational, and economic projects in both countries.
