Roane

Roane is a Philadelphia-based organization known as the Genesis Ministers Conference, Eastern Region, operating under the Pennsylvania Baptist Clergywomen, Inc. Comprised of Baptist pastors, assistant and associate ministers, as well as lay members, Roane aims to support, educate, prepare, and empower clergywomen in their ministry. Through mentorship and various opportunities for learning, teaching, and preaching, Roane strives to enhance the skills and progression of its members in the field of ministry.

Founded in 1991 by Rev. Dr. Elizabeth H. G. Prior and Rev. Dr. Barbara R. Ramsey, Roane holds its monthly meetings on the first Saturday of each month (except July and August, when it falls on the second Saturday) at the Mt. Moriah Temple Baptist Church in Philadelphia. The organization also operates a radio ministry called Skyways For Jesus, which serves as an evangelistic outreach program. With a focus on faith and service, Roane is dedicated to fulfilling its mission of empowering clergywomen and spreading the message of Christ.
