Pittsburgh Black Pride

The Pittsburgh Black Pride (PBP) Association, established in 1995, is dedicated to providing entertainment, social information, and health education to Black LGBTQIA individuals and families in Pittsburgh and Southwest Pennsylvania. As one of the oldest Black Pride celebrations in the United States, PBP aims to create safe and affirming spaces that empower the Black LGBTQIA community, particularly youth and their families, addressing critical issues such as healthcare access and social isolation.

Over its 30-year history, PBP has hosted a variety of events, including dance and musical concerts, health fairs, and community gatherings, fostering social connections and awareness of important local and national issues impacting both the LGBTQIA community and the Black community. PBP's commitment to leading healthier, more connected lives continues to enrich the cultural landscape of Pittsburgh.
