(1763-1846) Son of Marie Simon Hamot and Cecilia Vandeperre Hamot of Paris, PSV Hamot was a prominent French merchant and businessman and early 19th century Erie settler whose land and name led to the eventual founding of (UPMC) Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania.
