HistoryFounded in 1991 as a primary Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug (ATOD) prevention services provider, The Southwest Council's sole mission is to reduce the incidence and prevalence of the illegal use, misuse, and continued abuse of these harmful substances. The Southwest Council's goal is to increase awareness about ATOD related problems in our communities, schools, businesses, and professional organizations, as well as assisting families and individuals by offering services and referrals whenever possible.SpecialtiesThe Southwest Council, Inc. is a, non-profit substance abuse agency which provides education, prevention, early intervention, and outpatient treatment services to the counties of Cumberland, Salem, and Gloucester. The Southwest Council is a member of the New Jersey Prevention Network, a state-wide corporation linking prevention services throughout the entire state of New Jersey.

Founded in 1983, ODAAT provides recovery services for individuals suffering from substance abuse problems. It offers counseling, testing and referral solutions for HIV. The organization also provides transitional housing and direct services. It conducts outreach and educational programs. ODAAT serves low-income and homeless men and women and their families in Philadelphia. It is a program of the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition. The organization has a partnership with HOPE Worldwide. ODAAT has locations in England, India, Indonesia and Cambodia. It additionally organizes classes and workshops for communities. The organization provides case management solutions.
