The Jacobsburg Historical Society, established in 1972, is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of the Bushkill Creek Valley, particularly the industrial heritage of Jacobsburg, Filetown, and Boulton. Over the years, the Society has transformed the historic Henry Homestead into the Pennsylvania Longrifle Museum, showcasing the art and industry of early American firearm production.

In addition to offering a fascinating glimpse into the past, the Society has developed an extensive archive for research purposes and digitized fifty years of its newsletter, which features original research and society events. The Jacobsburg Historical Society continues to innovate in its mission to celebrate and present the stories of the community and its contributions to American history.
