The agency's bureau for alcohol education creates awareness among youths, legal consumers and alcoholic beverage dealers. The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board additionally offers financial grants to colleges and universities that assist law enforcement departments and nonprofit organizations to develop and maintain environmental management and other prevention strategies to reduce dangerous and underage drinking.
