The Pen & Pencil Club, established in 1892, is one of the oldest surviving press clubs in the United States, dedicated to serving journalists, editors, and members of the literary community. It has remained operational with minimal interruption throughout history, including during Prohibition and World War II, and welcomes all individuals regardless of their profession.
Operated by working journalists for the benefit of their peers, the Club fosters a vibrant atmosphere for networking and socializing among members. Additionally, the Pen & Pencil Foundation supports educational initiatives and programming aimed at enhancing journalistic interest and visibility in the Philadelphia area.

I gotta say - we had an absolute blast at a private event for journalists at Pen & Pencil. Terry and Jen were tending the bar and both were attentive, friendly and terrific. We had a great time...
