PA Sea Grant

The National Sea Grant College Program has been supporting coastal, marine, and Great Lakes communities for over 50 years through research, extension, and education. They work with local and national needs to address emerging issues in areas such as blue carbon, coastal hazard preparedness, ocean acidification, fisheries, coastal tourism, and aquaculture.

With a focus on science serving America's coasts, the National Sea Grant College Program collaborates with NOAA Fisheries and other partners to invest in projects that advance understanding of fishing community interactions with offshore wind development, support resilient coastal communities, and address knowledge gaps in areas like PFAS. They also offer opportunities such as the Marine Debris Challenge Competition and the John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship Program.
