Incorporated in 1967, The Consortium is a nonprofit mental health center that provides a range of behavioral care services in western and southwestern Philadelphia. It serves children, adults and senior citizens. The center also offers residential mental health and drug and alcohol counseling solutions. The Consortium serves social, recreational and educational needs of citizens above the age of 60. In addition, it operates the Southwest Senior Center and the Sunshine Senior Center. The center offers school-based programs for children. The Consortium also provides the Across Ages program. It offers case management and outpatient solutions. The center serves individuals with emotional difficulties. The Consortium provides care coordination and community outreach services.

Central Montgomery Mental Health & Mental Retardation Center is one of the oldest private, nonprofit, multiservice community mental health centers in Montgomery County, Pa. It provides services to more than 4,000 individuals and families through specialized programs, covering a full spectrum of behavioral health services. Programs are available for all age groups, from preschoolers to adolescents and seniors. Its children and family services include wraparound services, child intensive case management, and community-based therapy and support services to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems. It also provides outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for adolescents, adults and families who are affected by drug and alcohol problems. The organization additionally offers various adult services, such as outpatient services, behavioral and cognitive skills training, senior outreach services, community outreach and acute partial hospital programs. Central Montgomery Mental Health & Mental Retardation Center is located in Norristown, Pa.
