New York Lunch started in 1927 and our family has operated it since 1970. We look forward to serving you and making you part of our family! Greek Sauce is derived from our classic pasta sauce back home in Greece but spiced up a notch. It is a 100% USDA fresh beef chili sauce we use on our sandwiches. No additives or preservatives all natural. Greeks immigrants have owned restaurants in Erie, PA since the the late 1800's early 1900's thus the name "Greek Sauce" was born. We also have our our Greek Chili which is simply hand sorted red beans, onion and spices. Our Greek Fries (Fries with Greek Sauce and cheese) are simply the best! New York Lunch has been an Erie tradition since 1927. Stephen and Nina have been here since 1970, over 46 years. Serving simply the best Greek Sauce in the area! When New York Lunch opened you could buy 6 Hot Dogs for $ .25, a large Butter Milk for a Nickel and see a movie down the street for a Dime. How things have changed!
