The National Apple Museum, founded in 1990, is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich history and artifacts of the Apple and Tree Fruit Industry in Adams County. Housed in a restored pre-Civil War bank barn, the museum features exhibits on fruit picking, packing, and shipping, as well as pest management and commercial fruit processing equipment. Visitors can also explore a recreated 1880's farm kitchen and a General Store, and view collections of farming implements, apple peelers, fruit labels, and other apple memorabilia.

Operated by the Biglerville Historical and Preservation Society, the National Apple Museum offers a unique glimpse into the development and growth of the apple industry in the region. With its mission to educate and entertain, the museum provides a fascinating experience for visitors of all ages, showcasing the important contributions of the apple and tree fruit industry to the history of Adams County.

This was fantastic. Lots of artifacts and history. Delightful guides and very, very inexpensive. Lot's to see. Started with a video and then tour. Ended with nice gift shop. Will go again.

Do not waste your time. Read the other bad review. We made an appointment for a tour and there was no one here when we showed up.
