Jefferson Elementary School is an educational institution that serves more than 200 students in kindergarten through grade five. It is spread across an area of over 7 acres and features a library, cafeteria, playground and classrooms. The school conducts classes in core subjects, such as English, math, science, art, social studies, language arts, music, and health and physical education. Hoover Elementary School also offers a variety of extracurricular activities. In addition, its parent-teacher association raises funds for the benefit of the school. Located in Pittsburgh, Hoover Elementary School employs nearly 30 teachers. The school operates under the Mt. Lebanon School District, which operates junior and high schools, as well as approximately five elementary campuses.
