The Bucks County District Attorney is the chief law enforcement officer in the county. The DA's office is comprised of 27 attorneys, 16 county detectives and 30 support personnel and works closely with local, state and federal law enforcement to ensure the laws of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania are upheld and that are citizens are protected. The office is dedicated to seeking justice by helping victims of crimes, prosecuting those engaged in criminal activity and protecting law abiding citizens of Bucks County. The district attorney has authority over all criminal investigations and prosecutions in the county. The office handles approximately 11,000 criminal cases a year, including 7,500 adult offenders in the court of common pleas and 2,500 juvenile offenders in juvenile court. The district attorney's office employs detectives and attorneys specialized in the investigation and prosecution of all types of criminal conduct, including homicide, narcotics, sex crimes, child abuse, computer crimes, domestic violence and crimes against older adults.

County Clerk's Office records and maintains land transaction documents, such as deeds, mortgages and liens. The offices also manage a computerized index of land records and create ballots for general, primary, school board and special elections. It processes applications for passports, notary certificates, trade name registrations, identification cards and peddlers' licenses. County Clerk's Office records veteran discharge papers and provides business trade name registration services. It offers firemen s exempt certificates filing services and voting machine instructions. The office allows military and civilian overseas voters to register votes and receive and submit absentee ballots through electronic means. County Clerk's Office is located in Mount Holly, N.J.
