Melrose Elementary School

Founded in 1954, Lancaster Christian School serves more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade 12. Located in Lancaster, Pa., the school s general academic curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies and biblical studies. It supports a variety of sports activities, such as soccer, baseball, softball, golf, tennis, field hockey, cross country, and track and field. It also conducts classes in home economics, marine science, personal finance and computer applications. Lancaster Christian School offers early childhood and special education programs. The school operates a choir, band and student council. It offers a range of student activities that includes art, music, cooking, photography and physical education. In addition, it organizes field trips to several cultural and educational destinations in the community. The school also offers foreign language courses in Spanish and Latin. Lancaster Christian School is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Middle States Association.

Northern High School, located in Dillsburg, Pa., provides classes from grades nine through 12. It is operated by Northern York County School District and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and Pennsylvania Department of Education. It offers educational programs in agriscience, business, English, health, physical education, fine arts, music, math, science, foreign language, social studies and practical arts. It also offers a variety of sports programs that include athletics, basketball, cross country, hockey, golf, soccer, swimming, volleyball, wrestling, and track and field. The school has more than 1,000 students and a student-teacher ratio of 14-to-1. The school s library is equipped with reference materials and encyclopedias to provide additional resources to students. It also has various clubs and musical bands for recreational activities.
