ABOUT DECKER STEEL Decker Steel & Supply, Inc is celebrating its 70th year in business. The business began when John A. Decker, Arthur J. Decker, and John F. Reichert, Sr. formed Decker-Reichert Steel Company. These gentlemen, in May, 1929, left their employer, J.M. & L.A. Osborn Company to form a new, but similar business adventure. Decker-Reichert began as a steel brokerage business which later expanded in to a warehouse business with a manufacturing shop to produce the many types of galvanized duct fittings used in the heating industry. In the mid-1950's, the business expanded to include a new industry - that of stainless pipe, valves, and fittings. By the late 1970's, the Reichert family had all left or had retired and in the 1980's the name was changed to Decker Steel & Supply, Inc Today, the business still includes a modern mix of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning supplies, as well as pipe, valves, and fittings. We are affiliated with Sheet Metal Works Local 436. We strive to be a service oriented business that works closely with our customers to expedite each order and deliver it as quick as possible. Our sales representatives take great pride in locating hard to find items to meet the specific application requirements of each customer. Decker Steel will continue our strong tradition of quality service and remain a driving force in the industry for many years to come.
