Established in 1977, Max's Allegheny Tavern is a food establishment that specializes in serving a range of German-style cuisine. This is a nice place. We sat in the tavern area, in a booth. The bar itself is amazing and they have lots of fine spirits. We ordered Jaeger Schnitzel, roasted pork, spaetzle, and a dumpling soup....

This restaurant is very old! They've been around forever! German food. Many rooms and a big bar. Efficient servers. Try it! You'll like it!

This place is a little difficult to get to, at least on foot from downtown. We had to walk under a pretty quiet underpass. However, it was worth it. The schnitzel and kielbasa were fantastic....
