Dr. Louis Heyl, MD is a board-certified Family Medicine Doctor and a long-time physician at Heyl Family Practice, a third-generation primary care office in Pittsburgh. With over 40 years of experience supporting individuals in our community, Dr. Heyl has earned the trust of many family generations since he started his career in medicine. Dr. Heyl has made an effort to continue the legacy of his father, Frank Heyl, by prioritizing quality patient care. This has helped him build a reputation as a preferred PCP in the Pittsburgh area. Dr. Heyl treats a wide range of conditions, from acute illness to long-term more complex illnesses like high blood pressure and diabetes.

Dr. Donald Shoenthal, MD is a medical doctor dedicated to providing quality care to his patients. He brings vitality and enthusiasm to his work at Genesis Medical Associates and has a passion for caring for the elderly. He is a leader in his organization and committed to serving his community. Dr. Donald Shoenthal is a faithful father, husband and church member. One of his favorite things about family medicine is being able to provide a full scope of care to the patient from adolescence to older age. There are also many patients that have come to the practice as a result of their parents or grandparents recommending Dr. Shoenthal.

Dr. Brian Nolen is an experienced physician with over 5 years as a hospitalist in the Heritage Valley Health System, with a specialty in Internal Medicine. Previously, Dr. Nolen was a hospitalist with privileges at Heritage Valley Sewickley and Beaver campuses. Dr. Nolen is excited to start his new career with Heyl Family Practice as an office provider at the West View and McCandless offices. He is most excited about establishing relationships with his patients and being a crucial part of their healthcare journey.
