The Mask and Wig Club, founded in 1889, is the oldest all-male collegiate musical comedy troupe in the United States. Each year, Mask and Wig produces two all-original shows. A comedic production, Mask and Wig shows appeal to a broad range of audiences. In October, Mask and Wig performs on Penn's campus for a weekend in October. In the spring, Mask and Wig members create a full-length musical. Each year's Annual Production opens in the last week of January and runs until early April. For over a century, Mask and Wig shows have been amazing audiences in Philadelphia and around the country. Performances feature live entertainment with 9-piece student band, a breathtaking tap dance at the end of the first act, and musical numbers that will be sure to dazzle and delight. Each show begins with a cocktail hour, and ends with a floorshow where Club members perform tried and true bits.The Mask and Wig Club House is also available for rentals.
