Akshay Khandelwal, MD Akshay Khandelwal, MD, is the chief of cardiovascular medicine and an interventional cardiologist with AHN Cardiovascular Institute. He is skilled at coronary and peripheral vascular disease, as well as advanced endovascular and coronary intervention procedures. Dr. Khandelwal went to medical school at Bangalore University, Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College in Karnataka, India. He did his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. As of April, will be Treasurer, American College of Cardiology, and member, ACC Board of Trustees, from 2024-2027. Dr. Khandelwal is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Khandelwal has been named “Top Cardiologist” by Detroit Hour Magazine for multiple years in a row, as well as being published in numerous academic journals for his work. Dr. Khandelwal sees patients ages 18 and older.

Dr. Turner earned her medical degree from the Loyola University in Maywood, Ill. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the Magee-Women’s Hospital of UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pa., where she was chief resident. She continued at Magee-Women’s Hospital to complete a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. During her fellowship, she completed a master’s degree in clinical research. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Urogynecologic Society. She is well-published in various medical journals, including the International Urogynecology Journal and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Pnina Dean, MD Pnina Dean, MD, is an OB-GYN with AHN Women, specializing in women’s health. She is skilled at reproductive health, including fertility and family planning, minimally invasive robotic surgery, and perinatal and postnatal care. Dr. Dean applies best-practice techniques and procedures to help ensure long-term patient outcomes. Dr. Dean went to medical school at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York and did her residency at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Dean is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. She is affiliated with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She sees patients ages 14 and older.
