Akshay Khandelwal, MD Akshay Khandelwal, MD, is the chief of cardiovascular medicine and an interventional cardiologist with AHN Cardiovascular Institute. He is skilled at coronary and peripheral vascular disease, as well as advanced endovascular and coronary intervention procedures. Dr. Khandelwal went to medical school at Bangalore University, Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College in Karnataka, India. He did his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
